Jackass Day is an annual tradition celebrating our roots. In 1967, Jackass Ski Bowl opened on Wardner Peak with a Riblet chairlift that is still in use today as Chair 4. Every January, we celebrate Jackass Day by donning our best vintage ski gear and offering retro-priced lift tickets for only $18!

Deschutes Red Chair Weekend – Schweitzer

The Deschutes crew is coming back to Schweitzer! We’ll have a Snow Bar in the village near the clock tower kicking things off on Friday evening and quenching your thirst with Deschutes beers all weekend.
Come on out on Saturday to check out the Torchlight Parade, Fireworks, drink a great Deschutes brew and enjoy the show! Taps Lounge will be celebrating with 5 bands for the weekend and specials on Deschutes beers, plus you can win great prizes from the Deschutes team. While you’re at it, make sure to try a Cold Brew Black Butte cocktail featuring cold-brewed coffee from Evans Brothers mixed with Black Butte Porter and topped with whipped cream. Delicious!

The Schweitzer Mountain Community Association has got a Northern Lights show for ya, North Idaho style! We’re starting it off at 6:00pm with a torchlight parade down Jam Session, followed by a fireworks show in the village, then music and partying up in Taps afterwards! That’s right, North Idaho style is all the good stuff in life!

Well here’s how you can… The torchlight parade has space for 70 people and we’re going to fill it up. We start by inviting current Schweitzer employees to be part of it but whatever spots don’t get filled we’re offering to our guests. If you’re an intermediate (or better) skier or snowboarder, we want you to be part of the parade!

Lifeways Workshop “Make Your Own” Pendleton Moccasins

Own a Toyota – Get a Lift Ticket
Bring your Toyota, Scion, or Lexus to Schweitzer on January 28, 2022 and you get one free lift ticket for the day!
To receive your free ticket look for the Toyota and Schweitzer representatives stationed at the Red Barn Shuttle Parking at the bottom of the mountain, & Roundabout on your way up to the on-mountain parking lots. One free lift ticket will be given for each Toyota vehicle driven to the resort. Tickets are valid for 1/28/22 ONLY.
After 1:30pm tickets can be picked up at Guest Services . You must present your vehicle registration and a valid ID to get your ticket. Registration is required to prove ownership of a Toyota.

The Chocolate Affair

Indulge in an assortment of locally hand crafted sweet and savory treats at The Chocolate Affair, February 5 from1:00 PM – 5:00 PM! Wander through downtown businesses as they feature their in-house delectable treats and become pop-up chocolate shops!
The 2021 event has been modified to adhere to COVID-19 precautions and guidelines. Participants will be given a “carry-out” goodie bag and will stroll to each site to receive a packaged gourmet treat! Face coverings are required at the event. Ticket sales are very limited due to capacity restrictions.
Tickets are $15* and include a treat from each location. Check-in will take place at the Coeur d’Alene Visitor Center at 105 N. 1st Street, Suite 100, Coeur d’Alene ID 83814.
