Local North Idaho Halloween Events! 2019

There are so many fabulous Halloween events this year! Check out our list below (organized by date). We’ll see you out and about! Did we forget a spooky event? Let us know and we’ll add it!

October 3 – October 26 (Thurs-Sat)

Scarywood Theme Park – 27843 N Highway 95, Athol. Haunted Nights: gates open at 7:00PM. Tickets required.

October 18

Tween NERF Squadron – Post Falls Library (821 N Spokane St, Post Falls) – October 18, 6:30PM-8:00PM. Bring your NERF guns (or borrow one of ours) and your friends (or make some here) and battle in the stacks after hours. Target age: 8-12 Years Old

October 19

2nd Annual Lake City Comicon – Kootenai County Fairgrounds (4056 N Government Way, CDA) – October 19, 10:00AM-4:00PM. The 2nd Annual Lake City Comicon in Coeur d’Alene is located at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds inside the Jacklin Building no.25. Lake City Comicon is Idaho’s newest comic & pop culture convention. Featuring 75 exhibitors, special guests, artists, local food trucks, freebies & more!$6 at the door or $5 with canned food donation. Kids 12 & under are FREE! Free Parking!

October 20

Fall OPEN BARN (mini bridal fair) – The Hitchin’ Barn (Roberts Lane, Blanchard) – October 20, 4:00PM-7:00PM. *** FREE ADMISSION *** THE HITCHIN’ BARN is a rustic elegant wedding venue in Blanchard. Come tour the venue, meet local vendors and plan your Big Day! Food, drinks, music, bouncy house, styled photoshoot, giveaways and much more.

October 23

2019 Founder’s Day Halloween Costume Skate Party. – Skate Plaza (5685 N Pioneer Dr, CDA) – October 23rd, 6:00PM-8:30PM. Come Celebrate Juliette Lowe’s birthday. Music, Games and costume contest.  $6.50 admission. $1.00 skate rental. Hosted by the Girl Scouts of Coeur d’Alene.

7th Annual Chili Cook-Off – Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County (925 N 15th St, CDA -or- 200 W Mullan Ave, Post Falls) – October 23, 6:00PM-8:00PM. ome to the 7th Annual Chili Cook-off at BOTH CLUBS! Come and compete or just come to eat! Free dinner, games, pumpkin decorating and more! Prizes for the best Chili!

October 24

Old Time Harvest Festival – Wired2Learn Academy (1800 N Highway 41, Post Falls) – October 24, 6:00PM. Wired2Learn students are hosting an Old Time Harvest Festival with apple bobbing, cake walk, ring toss, pie eating contest, caramel apple dipping, homemade ice cream, photo booth and pumpkin catapulting! All proceeds go to future projects, including the service projects in November and December! Fun for a great cause!

October 24 – Skate Plaza (5685 N Pioneer Dr, CDA) – October 24rd, 6:00PM-8:30PM. Come in your costume and have a good time with the Borah Elementary PTO!

October 25 – October 27 (Fri-Sat)

Moonlit Monster Cruises – 115 South Second Street, CDA – Oct 25, 26 & 27.

There’s no better way to spend Halloween week than on the spooky waters of Lake Coeur d’Alene! $10 per person – kids 3 & under are FREE! Featuring spooky decor and a Grand Prize Photo Contest, Signature Halloween Cocktails and MUCH more! 45 minute cruises.

October 25

Triple Play Trunk-or-Treat! – 175 W Orchard Ave, Hayden – 5:00PM (until candy is gone). Triple Play’s first ever Trunk-or-Treat! Admission is 1 non-perishable food item to be donated to Community Action Partnership! Prize for best trunk: A 4-hour Indoor Adventure (access to all indoor attractions, no waterpark) group package for up to 15 participants!

Monster Concert – Community United Methodist Church (1470 W Hanley Ave, CDA) – October 25, 6:30PM-8:00PM. A spectacularly crazy event with Family Friendly Dress-up, Painted faces (no masks please), Organ Concert, Door Prizes and FUN! Come in costume or come as you are!

October 26

Trick or Treat for a Book – The Well Read Moose 2048 N Main St, CDA – October 26th, 12:00 – 1:30PM. Children 12 and up are welcome to come in their costumes for treats and to enter a drawing for a children’s book!

Fall Fest & Applepalooza – 5th and Sherman Ave (CDA) – October 26th, 10am-3pm – CDA Vendors, music, food, free hay rides, harvest market, apple tasting.

Monster’s Ball – The Resort Plaza Shops – October 26th, 8:00PM – 2:00AM. Join the party in downtown Coeur d’Alene for the Monster’s Ball – A Halloween Bash. Costume contest,drinks,  live DJ, prizes and more for adults, 21 years and older. $25 IN ADVANCE, $30 at the door 

Halloween Festival – The Roosevelt Inn, CDA – October 26, 5:00PM-9:00PM. Enter your carved masterpiece into the jack-o-lantern contest! Play games, walk through the haunted forest, get face painted, and more! $5 admission – 12 and under free!

Trunk or Treat 2019 – 7851 W Main Street, Rathdrum – October 26, 5:00PM-7:00PM. An opportunity for families to safely “trick or treat” out of the decorated trunks of parked cars. Best Decorated Trunk Contest and Pumpkin Carving Contest! (Only registered cars will be displayed on Main St, from which children will “trick or treat”)

Family Halloween Party at the Jail Museum – 7940 W 2nd St, Rathdrum – October 26, 5:00PM-7:00PM. a family Halloween event at the Kootenai County Jail Museum. Includes trick or treat for the kids, a tour of the haunted jail, and a great place to warm up after visiting Trunk or Treat on Main St in Rathdrum.

Steampunk Costume Party – 32575 N 5th Ave – October 26, 6:00PM-8:00PM. Attend the Spirit Lake Library for an evening of tea and sprockets! All enthusiasts of neo-Victorian retro-futuristic art, fashion, and literature are welcome to join the festivities. Don’t miss this opportunity for camaraderie and merriment! There shall be games, a screening of newfangled “motion-pictures,” a photo/selfie booth, tea dueling, clockwork crafts, and more! Whether you wear ordinary clothing with minor embellishments, a traditional Victorian outfit, or something outrageously fantastic, it’s all suitable for this event.

Tails at Twilight – The Hagadone Event Center (CDA) – October 26, 5:00PM-9:00PM. Celebrate our 40th Ruby Anniversary and follow the yellow brick road to an exciting evening of live music, dinner, raffles, and a live and silent auction, benfiting the Kootenai Humane Society.

October 27

Annual Chili Cook Off, Costume Contest & Triva – Cougar Gulch Meadowbrook Community Hall (8088 W. Meadowbrook Loop, CDA) – October 27, 4:00PM-7:00PM. Join the Meadowbrook Community Hall Annual Chili Cook-Off and Halloween Party! Bring a crockpot with your best homemade chili. Condiments, drinks and desserts provided. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Most Creative, Spiciest, and Vegetarian chilis. Prizes for best costume by category (5 and under, 6-12, 13-18, Adult, and Family). Halloween Trivia starts after the chili contest!

October 30

Keller Williams Door Decorating Contest – 3931 N Schreiber Way, CDA  – October 30, 3:00PM- 6:00PM. Trick or treat at the real estate agents’ offices! Kids can vote for their favorite agent’s office door decor. (ahem, vote for Link Properties Group)

Halloween Story time at the Carousel –  439 W Fort Grounds Dr, CDA – October 30, 10:30AM-11:30AM. Join in a special Halloween story time at the Carousel. Games, activities, and a free book for every child. Be sure to dress up and take a picture with your favorite animal.

Neon Jungle – Wired2Learn Academy (1800 N Highway 41, Post Falls) – October 30-Nov1, 6:00PM-9:00PM. Ditch the fright this October. Savor an immersive and engaging fall fun-house experience for the whole family! Under the aura of black lights explore a glowing jungle, be transported to an underwater world, and walk through space to touch the stars. At the end of the maze, there will be warm and comfy fall treats, like hot cocoa and caramel apples, Plus live music and face painting. All proceeds benefit Wired2Learn Foundation helping kids with learning disabilities. Early bird tickets available NOW! Only $5 per person.

October 31

CitiFall Festival –  Kootenai County Fairgrounds (CDA) – October 31, 5:30PM-8:30PM. A FREE, fun-filled, family-friendly evening at the Fairgrounds! Music, kids games, a pie & chili cook off, a pie eating contest, and lots & lots of CANDY! What could be better?! Presented by Heart of the City Church.

Halloween Downtown Trick or TreatCDA City Park, Northwest Blvd and Sherman Ave – October 31, 4:00PM-6:00PM. Kids get to wear costumes and visit the businesses downtown for treats.

Trunk or Treat Downtown CDA – 1st Presbyterian Church on 6th and Sherman (CDA) – October 31, 4:00PM-6:00PM. Trick or Treating has never been so much fun! Enjoy safe family fun with Trunk or Treat.

Halloween Day Family Day – The NYC Piano Bar (313 E Sherman Ave, CDA) – October 31, 5:00PM. Games, pumpkin baked goods contest, pumpkin carving, and food! Family friendly!

Bayview Fall Festival – Bayview Bible Church (20298 E Perimeter Rd, Bayview) – October 31, 6:00PM-8:00PM. Looking for a safe place to take kids trick-or-treating? Enjoy celebrating the Fall season? Join in a free and safe night of fun! Come trick or treat in the parking lot and play fun seasonal games. Enjoy free hot drinks and snacks and get a photo of yourself at the photobooth!

Harvest Festival Real Life Ministries (1860 N Cecil Rd, Post Falls) – October 31, 5:30PM-7:30PM. Everyone is welcome to join us for this year’s Harvest Festival at Real Life Ministries!  Free Admission, Activities for ages 0-5th Grade in a warm, safe environment, You can wear your favorite costume, We have live music!

Halloween Fun Spectacular Spud Museum Inc. (2204 N 9th St, CDA) – October 31, 5:00PM-9:00PM. Free fossils no matter your age, candy and snacks, pictures with Professor Bea and or virtual reality dinosaurs or Pokémon, decor and a free tour of the museum displays.

Trunk or Treat NorthStar Baptist Church (8145 N Ramsey Rd, Hayden) – October 31, 4:00PM-8:00PM. The parking lot will be transformed into a fun, safe alternative for kids, especially younger kids, to wear their Halloween costumes, collect a little candy or other prizes, and hear the good news of Jesus. The themes will be Super Hero, Bible, or Disney (nothing scary).

November 1

20th Anniversary Show – Ponderosa Springs Golf Course (1291 N Galena Dr, CDA) – November 1, 8:00PM-1:00AM. ¡Dia de los Meles! Come join a Halloween party to celebrate 20 years of Melefluent and music!! $5 at the door, costume party.

November 2

Dia de Los Muertos Community Multicultural Day – Human Rights Education Institute (414 West Fort Grounds Dr, CDA) – November 2, 1:00PM-4:00PM. A fun-filled day of arts and crafts, food, music and Hispanic cultural celebration showcasing the various crafting classes that were held throughout Hispanic Heritage Month.  HREI Exhibit includes authentic artifacts and symbols demonstrating the unique heritage of Hispanic Culture and a viewing of local Rotary club global service projects conducted in Latin American countries. Activities for all ages.
